Township is a game that combines city building with agriculture. At the beginning of the game, the player is guided through a short tutorial. Players start with a starting town and in order to develop that town they can harvest crops, operate processing facilities and sell goods. The main currency in the game is T-cash. In addition, players can earn XP (experience points) and gold coins to perform various actions in the game. Coins are used to purchase factories, community buildings, decorations, and XP points. As the player accumulates XP points and enters levels (each level is defeated and requires more XP to upgrade), more types of crops, factories, community buildings, decorations and "special" buildings will become available. Players can spend real money to buy Tcash as well as coins. Players can use the helicopter pad to complete in-game character commands.

In towns, players can use trains. The player will fill these trains with cargo and return them after a period of time. These materials are used to complete the construction of buildings, expand the territory and increase the capacity of barns.

Once the player reaches a specific level the player is asked to repair the airfield. This requires a lot of coins. Once the airfield is repaired, they are then asked to fill the chest and are rewarded with XP and coins. Although you are only allowed 1 inquiry per line, there is an option to ask for help. If you do not press the send button, the plane will automatically take off after takeoff. After pressing the send button, or the plane takes off automatically, the plane will open. A new plane cannot be opened until the game is opened again. Allowing the player to preview the items needed for the next plane is intended to give the player a head start.
